About Grand Lake 'O the CherokeesGrand Lake is fed by the Neosho River, Spring River and Elk River and flows through the hydro-electric Pensacola Dam. With over 1,100 miles of shoreline, there is much to explore on Grand lake. From great bass fishing, that attracts Bassmaster's and ESPN, to water sports, to enjoying beautiful sunsets on the deck of The Cherokee Queen river boat; there is something for everyone on Grand Lake. Located in Northeast Oklahoma, Grand lake enjoys a mild climate year round.
For off the water fun, there is off-road rock climbing at the base of the Pensacola Dam. If you would rather stay on the road, there are several cruise nights and car shows through out the year. There are five, first-class golf courses located within an hour of Grove that are guaranteed to challenge golfers, including Patricia Island, Grove's Premier golf course community. Grove's Honey Creek State Park provides camping within city limits right on the lake, with a boat ramp, fishing dock, and other amenities; while Har‑ber Village Museum provides a look into Green Country's past.
You can also fly directly to Grand Lake. With a mile long, concrete runway, located in Grove just minuets from the lake, there is ample room for small jets to take off and land. You can also fly to Tulsa International Airport, located just Southwest of Grand Lake. If you would rather drive, Grand Lake is accessible from three exits off I-44.
