About the Builder
Jay Teel, a native of Grove Oklahoma, has been building custom homes professionally for the past 24 years.  Jay's construction education started when he was 8 years old working with his grandfather and father in their construction company nailing on siding and decking. Educated in the old school where the builder did the building, Jay believes in hands on experience for builders to be the best at insuring the highest quality from the ground up. 
From shooting the construction site grade, staking the house, pouring the footing, framing, roofing, trim carpentry, building cabinets, painting, and staining Jay has had years of hands on experience in every detail of the construction process. 

 

About the Administrator
In 1990 Jay earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting Degree from Missouri Southern State University while building homes during the day.  His accounting knowledge has further expanded and strengthened the business of residential construction.  Careful administration of Workman’s Comp and liability insurance coverage, with careful record keeping, allows Jay to know the costs of construction and therefore bid competitively. Getting the buyer "the most bang for the buck” has been his trade mark.
 
About the Corporation
In 1997, Jay and his wife Kelly, formed Sawhorse, Inc. in order to further expand and grow to an even higher level to meet the demands of quality custom homes in the Grand Lake area.  Sawhorse, Inc. is a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa - Grand Lake Chapter, the Oklahoma State Association of Home Builders and the National Association of Home Builders.
 
About the Realtor®
Along with running Sawhorse, Inc. in the construction of quality homes, in 2006 Jay and Kelly became Realtors® to expand their potential to help home buyers in their search for a home.  Jay then joined with the super folks at Prudential Grand Lake Wistrom Realty real estate office on Main Street, Grove Oklahoma.  With Jay’s background in construction, and he and Kelly being a life-long residents of Grove, Jay is a real asset to a home buyer's search for a home.  Jay knows the market and the area, both re-sale and new construction. 

 

About the Team
Jay and Kelly Teel became a team in 1985 when they were married.  After 19 years of teaching school Kelly retired to help Jay in construction full time.  Although a Realtor®, Kelly has her license on inactive status but is Jay’s real estate assistant.  Kelly also is Vice-President of Sawhorse, Inc. and highly involved in running of the office and assists in scheduling of the construction projects.  As a team Jay and Kelly enjoy keeping the job running smoothly and timely from start to finish - whether it is building a home or handling real estate transactions.
 

Most importantly, Jay & Kelly Teel want to thank their God and their Lord Jesus Christ for His love that has changed their hearts, that has taught them and is teaching them so much.  He is the Coach of the team.
